Welcome to the California Community Foundation's online giving center, where you can contribute to a variety of causes ranging from quality preschool education to increasing affordable housing opportunities in L.A. County.
Contributions to the foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's board of directors. You may make an unrestricted gift that the foundation can use to respond quickly to immediate community needs, such as a natural disaster. As an alternative, you may specify a preference for any of the foundation's various causes by selecting a fund from the list below.
The foundation's 10-year strategic plan seeks to raise more unrestricted funds to maximize its impact in its core issue areas, including Arts & Human Development, Education, Health Care, and Neighborhood Revitalization. Each of the funds below represent areas the foundation supports through its competitive grantmaking. If you would like to make an unrestricted gift, you may contribute to the Los Angeles Community Fund. This gift will become part of the foundation's endowment, which means your gift today will be used to help improve the quality of life in Los Angeles for generations to come.

The Affordable Housing Fund
This fund focuses on solutions that promote stable living environments for low-income families and individuals by providing them with safe, affordable places to live. It also seeks to provide low-income residents with a voice in decisions that affect their quality of life and access to neighborhood services.
The Arts & Culture Fund
This fund seeks to strengthen individual artists and small-to-midsize arts and cultural organizations as part of a vibrant cultural community. The grants from this fund aim to increase the participation of diverse, ethnic and low-income individuals and communities in the arts.
The Education Fund
This fund helps elementary schoolchildren attending Los Angeles County public schools. The fund aims to strengthen English language arts and math instruction to increase student achievement. Grants from this fund support quality childhood learning opportunities that promote cognitive and social development; programs that increase parent involvement in children's learning; and collaborative partnerships among elementary schools, school districts and nonprofit organizations.
The Health Care Fund
This fund helps low-income adults and children in Los Angeles County get quality health care that is regular, sustainable and affordable. Grants from this fund support organizations that work to ensure that community clinics can serve the underserved and uninsured; increase access to regular preventive care and treatment services for uninsured adults and expand health care coverage for all uninsured children.
The Human Development Fund
This fund supports services for special population groups — aging adults, disabled children and adults, at-risk youth and foster youth — which help them get the skills and resources they need to become self-sufficient. The fund seeks to increase opportunities that promote independent living and community participation for vulnerable individuals.
The Los Angeles Community Fund
We can assure you that a contribution to this fund will go where it is most needed to address both the current needs of Los Angeles County as well as its needs in the future. Follow the lead of the late philanthropist Joan Palevsky, who loved L.A. and left the foundation a bequest of $257 million — all of it unrestricted. This historic support allowed us to double our competitive grantmaking to $20 million a year and more importantly, built the foundation for us to continue expanding "the gift that keeps on giving.''
Additionally, there are varieties of donor advised and memorial funds that can receive secure credit card contributions.
